You wanna know what today’s post was supposed to be? The recipe and stunning photographic images of my dad’s famous Irish Stew. It’s a thicker stew with a beer-based broth, and delicious falling-apart-tender meat. My dad usually makes Irish Soda Bread in the bread maker to go with it, and we all have some craft beer to go with the whole meal. It’s our St. Patrick’s Day tradition, but since my parents are in Georgia, and I’m here in Florida this year, I thought I’d try making it myself — and doing a post on it, naturally.
Just in time for St. Patty’s Day! It was such a nice idea. I had my little lightbox all set up to photograph the stew, with a lovely green chevron background and a can of Guinness for added interest. I got my husband all excited about the promise of a delicious Sunday-night meal.
